The Master’s Program in Performing Arts and Visual Arts Studies (PSPSR) at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held a Collaborative Thesis Coaching Session (CTCS) from April 17 to 19, 2026. Located at the Grand Diamond Hotel Yogyakarta, this intensive event was attended by 14 PSPSR UGM master’s students who are currently in the critical stages of writing and finalizing their theses.
The event was officially opened by the Head of the PSPSR UGM Study Program, Dr. Rr. Paramitha Dyah Fitriasari, M.Hum. In her opening remarks, she emphasized the importance of structured guidance in maintaining motivation and ensuring the timely completion of students’ studies. She expressed her hope that this event would assist students in completing their theses more effectively and efficiently, thereby enabling them to graduate on time.
Over the course of the three-day program, participants were encouraged to engage in discussions and write their theses under the guidance of their respective supervisors. The CTCS program is a strategic step by the study program to improve students’ individual academic achievements while strengthening the quality indicators of PSPSR UGM graduates. Through these sessions, students received intensive discussion time with their supervisors to align their theoretical frameworks, analyze data, and refine the chapters of their theses.
Furthermore, this activity is part of PSPSR UGM’s commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically:
SDG 4: (Quality Education) by providing an inclusive, supportive, and effective learning environment, PSPSR UGM aims to facilitate students in completing their final assignments. This initiative is expected to support students in finalizing their theses with higher quality standards while simultaneously accelerating graduation timelines for postgraduate students within the PSPSR UGM community.
