Yogyakarta, 22 October 2025 — Universitas Gadjah Mada held its Postgraduate Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday, 22 October 2025, at the Grha Sabha Pramana (GSP) building. This solemn academic event marked a significant milestone for graduates who have completed their scholarly journey at the master’s and doctoral levels. The ceremony proceeded smoothly and concluded on schedule, followed by individual recognition events held at each respective faculty and school.

From the Graduate Program in Performing Arts and Visual Arts Studies (PSPSR), fourteen master’s students were officially conferred their degrees. Among them, eleven graduates achieved the cum laude distinction, while three graduates received the very satisfactory predicate. These achievements reflect the dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence of PSPSR students throughout their studies and research in the fields of art and culture.

The atmosphere during the ceremony was festive yet emotional. After the main event at GSP, the celebration continued at the UGM Graduate School Building, where families, lecturers, and graduates gathered in a warm and joyful setting. One of the graduates, Namira Azzahra, shared her reflections, stating, “Finally, graduation day has come! I have mixed feelings — happy, touched, and a bit sad, because it means parting with friends who have accompanied me for the past two years. Congratulations to my fellow alumni, and good luck to those still working on their theses!”

Additionally, PSPSR alumni received exclusive commemorative tumblers as tokens of appreciation and togetherness.

This meaningful event aligns with the spirit of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals. Through this graduation, Universitas Gadjah Mada reaffirms its commitment to nurturing excellence, integrity, and global competitiveness, preparing its graduates to make meaningful contributions to national development and humanity.
