In a graduation ceremony held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, a total of 991 graduates from various study programs received their master’s and doctoral degrees.
One of the study programs that contributed to the success of this graduation was the Performing Arts and Visual Arts Studies (PSPSR) Program. A number of PSPSR students successfully obtained their master’s degrees with interesting theses relevant to the development of contemporary art. They are Aulia Pramesti Rizki Utami (Tami Aulia) with her thesis exploring the creative space of cover musicians on social media, Nurul Fajri Kusumaningrum who researched the commodification of nostalgia in popular music, Arung Hutari Dea Premita who evaluated theatrical performances as social criticism, and Zanet Arief who analyzed the role of choir coaches.

The third Scientific Writing Series was opened by the Head of the Master’s Program of PSPSR UGM, Dr. Rr. Paramitha Dyah Fitriasari, M.Hum., who stated that this activity is crucial for students as it greatly supports their academic process, especially in completing the scientific writings that are a requirement during their studies.
