Performing Arts and Visual Arts Studies (PSPSR) Doctoral Program, in collaboration with the Department of History, Universitas Gadjah Mada, held an opening lecture featuring history expert Dr. Sadiah Boonstra on Monday, April 6, 2026. Hosted in Meeting Room A, 5th Floor of the UGM Graduate School Building, the event addressed the crucial topic of “History and Memory Making Through Arts and Performance.”
The session, which took place from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM WIB, served as the opening of an intensive series of classes scheduled over the next five days; the program includes two days at the UGM Graduate School and three days at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) UGM. In this class, Dr. Sadiah Boonstra, a Research Fellow at UGM and Honorary Fellow at Melbourne University, shared profound perspectives on the intersections of history, memory, and heritage.
