Yogyakarta, 20 July 2026 – The Performing Arts and Visual Arts Studies (PSPSR) Study Program at Universitas Gadjah Mada attended the Study Program Quality Assurance and Sustainability Workshop organized by the UGM Graduate School (SPS) on Monday–Tuesday, July 20–21, 2026, at the 5th-Floor Auditorium of the SPS UGM Building. The event was attended by the Head of the Master’s Program in PSPSR, Dr. Rr. Paramitha Dyah Fitriasari, M.Hum., alongside the program’s Academic Development Team.
The workshop was conducted as a coordinative measure in response to the Regulation of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia No. 39 of 2025 and the UGM Rector’s Regulation concerning educational implementation. The opening and strategic direction presentation on the first day were delivered by the Dean of SPS UGM, Prof. Ir. Siti Malkhamah, M.Sc., Ph.D., together with the Vice Deans: Prof. Dr. Ir. Widyanto Dwi Nugroho, S.Hut., M.Agr., who addressed current accreditation compliance and future directions for academic development, and Dr. Techn. Khabib Mustofa, S.Si., M.Kom., who outlined resource management strategies for meeting accreditation standards and HR development plans. These presentations aimed to align study workloads (credits/SKS), strengthen interdisciplinary fields, fulfill accreditation standards, and improve HR governance. The first day concluded with an interactive discussion and the formulation of initial follow-up plans.
During the technical presentation session on the second day, PSPSR UGM presented its readiness regarding the 2026 Final Curriculum Document, the sustainability plan draft, and lecturer sufficiency strategies in preparation for the implementation of the new curriculum for the 2026/2027 Academic Year.
This curriculum alignment and quality assurance step serves as a tangible commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
- SDG 4 (Quality Education): Ensuring graduate education in the arts field that is adaptive, inclusive, and relevant to interdisciplinary academic developments.
- SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions): Realizing accountable and sustainable study program governance in fulfilling academic quality standards.
- SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals): Strengthening synergy among study programs and quality assurance units within SPS UGM. (NA)
