Unlike most graduates who attend their commencement ceremony to enjoy various performances as part of their graduation celebration, students of the Performing Arts and Visual Arts Studies Program (PSPSR) at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) took the stage to showcase their artistic talents as a contribution to the graduation event on January 23, 2025. The PSPSR graduates presented various artistic performances reflecting their diverse artistic backgrounds, including music, vocal performances, dance, painting, and poetry recitation. All these artistic elements were harmoniously combined into a captivating performance.

This performance not only served as a platform for PSPSR students to demonstrate their skills but also as an appreciation of their academic journey. Through a approximately six-minute performance, the graduates exhibited their talents and abilities before an audience comprising parents, faculty members, and fellow postgraduate students. The enthusiasm and high appreciation from the audience were evident from the resounding applause following the performance.

The participation of PSPSR students in this graduation event added to the celebratory atmosphere. It demonstrated their commitment to presenting artistic works that are aesthetically pleasing carry profound meaning. Through this performance, PSPSR students proved that art can serve as a means of self-expression and a tangible contribution to enriching significant moments such as graduation. This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, emphasising quality education. (AHP)
