ELOs

The ELOs are clearly formulated and aligned according to the University, the Graduate school (SPS) and our programme’s specific visions and missions namely to become an excellent and innovative academic institution which is locally grounded and globally respected. To realize these goals, the programme seeks several acts with the leading-edge thinking, methods, and multidisciplinary principles and possesses the following characteristics, such as regular meeting and FGD with lecturers and academic team.

In arranging graduate profiles and learning outcomes, Master of Art Program in Performing Arts and Visual Arts Studies is based on UGM’s vision and mission, Graduate School’s vision and mission, inputs from the stakeholders, and tracer study involves alumni, alumni users, and colleagues. The tracer studies are utilized to identify the requirement of the society needs. It also assists the program study to prepare the students profile to find position qualification after graduating.  According to perspective, the program study is designed into 5 expected learning outcomes

Expected Learning Outcomes (ELOs)
Master of Art Program in Performing Arts and Visual Arts Studies
ELOs 1 Paying respect to cultural diversity and authentic findings of others
ELOs 2 Able to balance textual/artistic and contextual/non artistic scholarly perspectives in performing arts and visual arts studies
ELOs 3 Able to design and conduct multidisciplinary research on performing arts and visual arts studies
ELOs 4 Able to develop logical, critical, systematic, and analytical thinking on  research on performing arts and visual arts
ELOs 5 Able to engage contemporary practices on the maintenance management, development, utilization, and education on performing arts and visual arts with theoretical discourses.

Those ELOs above are formulated by lecturers and our academic team throughout several meetings, then the indicators below that we made are selected and agreed by our stakeholders. ELOs is socialized to students through prime meetings every semester, especially for new students. It undergoes periodic evaluation at the end of each semester.

1.2. Being open minded, appreciative and inclusive

1.3. Appreciating and grounding the theory and practice of cultural relativism

1.4. Support the authentic findings by avoiding plagiarism

Able to balance textual/artistic and contextual/non artistic scholarly perspectives in performing arts and visual arts studies 2.1. Identifying and analysing the textual aspects of artistic work

2.2. Critically identifying the contextual aspects of artistic work

2.3. Evenly evaluate both textual and contextual aspects in the fields of performing arts and visual arts

Able to design and conduct multidisciplinary research on performing arts and visual arts studies 3.1. Understanding and engaging two or more academic disciplines in analysing the fields of performing arts and visual arts

3.2.Thinking across boundaries by using multidisciplinary perspectives

3.3. Applying innovative research methods for data gathering

Able to develop logical, critical, systematic, and analytical thinking on  research on performing arts and visual arts 4.1. Understanding the aspect of performance and performativity of the research’s object and subject

4.2. Analysing empirical findings academically: evidence based, logical and critical

4.3. Creative thinking in analysing research

Able to engage contemporary practices on the maintenance management, development, utilization, and education on performing arts and visual arts with theoretical discourses. 5.1.  Mastering of theoretical discourses

5.2. Articulating phenomena in the dimensions of stakeholders needs

5.3. Provide explanations and relate the problems with current practices
