Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) once again held its graduate program commencement ceremony on January 23, 2025. A total of 841 graduates, consisting of master’s and doctoral degree recipients from various faculties and study programs, participated in the graduation procession at Grha Sabha Pramana (GSP). The event was followed by faculty-level ceremonies as a form of appreciation for the academic achievements of the graduates.

One of the study programs that participated in this graduation celebration was the Performing Arts and Visual Arts Studies Program (PSPSR). 16 PSPSR students successfully earned their master’s degrees, bringing diverse artistic backgrounds in performing arts, and visual arts which are the core focus of their academic pursuits. This achievement reflects the program’s commitment to producing graduates with high academic and professional competencies following applicable educational standards.

The success of PSPSR graduates also underscores the high quality of education at Universitas Gadjah Mada, aligning with the 4th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), which aims to ensure quality education. In her address, the Rector of Universitas Gadjah Mada, Prof. Ova Emilia, M.Med.Ed., Sp.OG(K)., PhD, congratulated all graduates and expressed her hope that they would continue developing their potential and positively contribute to society nationally and internationally. She also emphasized alumni’s crucial role in upholding their alma mater’s reputation in various professional fields. (AHP)
